Structural Snapshot
This is a structured written submission, a way of mapping the situation before deciding whether a Situation Report is warranted.
It doesn’t require a fully formed view of what’s happening. Most people who submit don’t have one. The Snapshot guides you through describing what is observable: the situation itself, the actors involved, where authority sits, what constraints are in play, and what feels most time-sensitive.
Uncertainty is useful information. If something is unclear, say so. Partial pictures are fine starting points.
What the Snapshot is for
The purpose is not to prove a case, assign blame, or arrive at a pre-formed conclusion. It is to understand the structure surrounding a decision, concern, or developing situation clearly enough to determine whether a Situation Report would be useful.
What happens after you submit
Submissions are reviewed within two to three working days. If further information would help the assessment, it will be requested. Where analysis is appropriate, you will receive a fee proposal for a written Situation Report prepared specifically for your submission.
Not every submission proceeds to engagement. The Snapshot is a first step, not a commitment on either side.
