Centreline Clarity was built on a straightforward observation: most difficult situations don’t become difficult because the people inside them lack judgment. They become difficult because the structure surrounding the decisions, such as the pressures, the authority lines, the reporting channels, the incentives, has shifted in ways that are hard to see clearly from the inside.
That observation didn’t come from consulting literature. It came from watching how institutions actually behave under pressure, how reasonable people make reasonable decisions that compound into outcomes nobody intended, and how the signals that might have changed things were present but couldn’t land where they needed to.
The framework behind this practice was developed to map those conditions. Not to assign blame. Not to predict outcomes. To make the structure visible while meaningful options still exist.
Centreline Clarity is a one-person practice. The work is done by Junjie, based in Singapore.
The background is not conventional for this kind of work… which may be part of why the framework looks the way it does. A long career as a musician and piano teacher develops a particular sensitivity to when something that should be in tension has gone slack, and when something that should be moving has quietly stopped. A parallel practice in traditional martial arts develops a different kind of pattern recognition: not the dramatic moment of failure, but the earlier shift in weight that precedes it.
The diagnostic temperament that runs through this work is the same one. Something is moving before it becomes visible. The question is whether you can see it in time to do something about it.
Centreline Clarity does not take on every situation submitted. The Structural Snapshot exists precisely to determine whether the framework is appropriate for what someone is facing. Where it is, a Situation Report is prepared: a written structural map of the decision environment as it currently stands.
Such situation mapping operates entirely in writing. There are no calls, no in-person meetings, no retainers. Each engagement is discrete and specific to the situation.
